January 7, 2011 - Rudder!
Finally, the sky reappeared from under the greyness... and I went flying once again!!!
Today was a review of stalls -- this time I had to stall myself, as well as recover -- and spiral dives. And on the way home, I tracked by forward slipping. Lari really tried to push it by having me land, too. (Yes, the wind was right down the runway, but my head was still spinning from the stalls, so my approach and landing were average at best.)
Also got to see a snow cloud up close. Cool.
If I were a GOOD student, I would now type up some copious notes about each of stalls, spiral dives and forward slipping, and explain why I entitled this entry "Rudder".
Ahhh, but reality prevails: I must shortly run out to the laundromat and turn over 5 loads to the dryer, because my evening of studying was rudely interrupted by a barfing six-year-old who is now asleep in new jammies in MY bed, while I wash his sheets, and his brother's, as he also barfed on him, argh!!
Tomorrow is another day.... hopefully everyone will be well and the weather will continue to cooperate.
