Sept 11 - Upper Air
Hard as it was to focus on a lesson after a long day of work, it was good to be airbourne again!
Our take-off from 24 in GGNJ was a communicationally challenging exercise, as there was LOTS going on on the radio: Porter and AC taking off and landing, several other planes in the circuit or just arriving from the east, a helicopter over the downtown core... but we managed to get out of the circuit without incident, and head over to the south-west corner of Claremont, where we spent a good hour practising slow flight, stalls and steep turns. On the way back, we even threw in a few sprirals.
I am hopeful that the weather on Saturday will be such that I can finally do my first formal dual cross-country, the plan being that I will fly it solo the following Saturday.
Fingers and toes crossed!
