June 30 - Cross Country West (Dual)
After much treacherous planning, we were finally off to Tillsonburg (via Burlington Bridge as SHP) and then on to K-W airport, before heading back "home" to CYTZ.
Although finding the aiport (Tillsonburg) was a bit of a challenge, the greater challenge for me was knowing when to call whom. As we were flying through YYZ and Hamilton airspace, it seemed like we were talking to someone every 30 seconds. While trying to figure out where the heck we were!
But we made it to all of our destinations and home again safely.
I spent a good chunk of time that night prepping for my anticipated solo version of the same flight, which was to happen the next day. I even "flew" the first few legs virtually, with Google Earth, and found the airports. Alas, the winds were a little to strong, and ceilings predicted to be a little to low, so in the end, my solo flight had to be delayed until... ??? Maybe Sept.
For now, it's on to finish prepping for my flight test, which I hope to fly on or before July 20.
